In 2001, Jürgen Moritz got intensively involved in pipemaking. Within a
short period of time, he developed his own independent, easily recognisable
style. Due to the use of bamboo, his pipes, and not only the smaller shapes,
radiate an enormous elegance and lightness. His present style was influenced
by the early (1970s and '80s) works of Bang, by Chonowitsch and Hedegaard
as well as by Barbi, Joura, and Kittner.
